Cutest Lunch Ever
June 30, 2010
Oh My! I found the cutest tiffins. These would pair perfectly with the adorable steel thali’s I posted last month. I brought home some really nice tiffins from India, but I am smitten with the little mini tiffin containers inside the main compartments…handy for dressings or dips! If you are out with your kiddies a lot or even for daily work lunches, these would make your tiffin lunches way more fun. I think the tiffin box might be the next big thing!

Also, came across these adorable steel thali sets that will match perfectly with the tiffin for the complete look! The tin cups and tiffins are hand painted by Kashmiri craftsmen.

Thali It Up
May 19, 2010I saw these on Gnaana and wanted to share this funny yet functional product with you. I say funny because during my childhood, they didn’t look this cute! My mother would take out steel thali’s for special guests and they were simple, round and boring. I definitely didn’t think they were cute then but thali’s have come a long way. These meal plates are way too adorable. Can’t wait to get one for my son.

Charan Sachar Is Creative With Clay
January 10, 2010Charan Sachar is absolutely definitely an artist by heart, even though his professional resume states he’s an engineer by day. His passion rose while growing up in India and experimenting with different mediums. One in which he held on to was clay. After coming to the US, he started creating more and more art work by taking courses and leaning on well known artists in the field. His passion ultimately lead him to appear on the HGTV show, “That’s Clever“. I just love Charan’s story.
He recently added some new unique pieces on his creative with clay etsy shop. My two favorites are the handmade butter dish and tealight candle holders . The butter dish with knife holder is a rare find. His one of a kind pottery is inspired by Indian designs, fabrics, embroidery, and colors of Bollywood.
