Inspirational Fashion Friday: Global Glam

February 19, 2010

International supermodel, Ujjwala Raut has walked the walked with top-line fashion houses like Gucci, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, and the list goes on. The Oscar de la Renta gown in the first picture was also worn by Nicole Kidman at the 2010 SAG Awards. I really LOVE the red dress shown below. Enjoy!

Make-up For Indian Women

February 10, 2010

I am not big on make-up but experimented with different shades in the past. If you’re looking for that foundation made specifically for Indian women, try the Orissa brand. They recently celebrated their 1st birthday….apologies for missing the 10% off discount for the month of January.

Orissa has extensively researched various skin colors and blends to come up with a mineral based application for everyday wear.

Who Inspires India’s Leading Designers?

February 2, 2010

Oh My Goodness, I love this find for two reasons. One – it involves India’s leading designers and two – ridiculously gorgeous illustrations by Cecilia Carstedt (a swedish fashion illustrator with a big client list).

Well, there is one more reason and that is because the meaning behind these images are striking. These designers may be inspiring to all of us but their passion and incredible work is also inspired by someone else. It is kind of like ‘pay it forward’ – aspire and be inspired. Vogue India features the latest muse of JJ Vallaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Abraham&Thakore, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Anamika Khanna, Gaurav Gupta, Savio Jon, Manish Arora, Atsu Sekhose, Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Ritu Kumar, Suneet Verma, and Varun and Sardana.

I enjoyed reading each and every page!!!!
