Nidhi Chanani’s Magical World

October 21, 2010

A friend emailed me these illustrations by Nidhi Chanani few days ago and I just couldn’t figure out where I’ve seen them before. It’s like when you meet someone and you absolutely think you know them, but just can’t put a name to the face (or in my case, name to a image)! Well, while scrolling through my daily blog reads, I finally figured it out – Nidhi recently illustrated these lovely banners on Sepia Mutiny. Mystery solved!!!

I had to share – How cute are these illustrations? I get this warm fuzzy feeling as soon as I see her art. The lighting she uses in her illustrations is amazing! It makes me want to be the little girl under the shaded tree, or hang out on the balcony in the pouring rain.

I kind of got carried away with selecting my favorites. You can find lots more cuteness on her blog.  And if interested in Nidhi’s ‘sketch of the day’, subscribe here.

Just in time for our DIWALI theme next week, a framed series of Nidhi’s playful and celebrated images would add a great festive touch to a home.  Also, check out Nidhi’s etsy shop.

P.S. Next week, BollyInstyle will be celebrating DIWALI week. Be sure to check back for some pop and crackle celebration ideas, gift guides, cooking tips from Richa, and MAJOR inspiration!
