Spice Boxes At Cost Plus World Markets

October 1, 2009

Are you a novice to indian cooking? Or running to your mother’s pantry for indian spices?

Cost Plus World Markets is BollyInstyle’s international bazaar.  It’s a mecca for international and gourmet twists.  They are currently carrying these perfect sized spice boxes. It holds a mix of authentic spices commonly used in Indian dishes.  And its comes in this beautiful carved wooden box.

If you enjoy international cooking, the spice boxes also are made for Moroccan, Thai, and Latin dishes.
These spice boxes would make a great hosting gift!

I also love these stainless steel Kadhai, which I’ve seen used to serve curry dishes at Indian restaurants.  They come in three different sizes and prices range from $3.99 to $12.99.  CPWM is what I call the one-stop shop for Asian goodies!

Heart Of Fusion Fashion Trends

October 1, 2009

Italian born, Gabriella Cortese is the founder of ethnic-inspired fashion label Antik Bati.  I love it – her style is very much influenced by her global travels.  She spends up to four months a year in India not only producing her collection of clothes and accessories but also searching for inspiration.

We are all looking to create a personal style but would like to show our roots. She does it all – chappel sandals, kaftans, tunics, flower print dresses and leather bag embroidered with metal sequins. If that’s not enough, Gabriella has also launched a children collection. Is it wrong that I want the below baby clothes in grown-up sizes? So cute.

Antik Batik can be found at Bloomingdales, ShopStyle, ShopBop, Net-A-Porter, and MilkShop.  Or you can purchase through the official Antik Batick boutique online here. (not sure if delivery to US is an option)

You MUST check out her styles!  I can assure you will fall in love with at least one if not all of her clothing and accessories.
