Cut Out Designs In The Nursery

Nursery wallpaper is far more creative than I might have ever imagined. Inke Heiland is an artist/designer behind these lovely animal shapes. The silhouettes are hand cut from real vintage and designers wallpaper. We love love love the giraffe and the monkey and the elephant -and the tree. Okay, I’ll stop now.
My 18 month old is calling out for the yellow giraffe! It’s going up in his room for sure.
They are sent complete with glue, a brush and instructions. You can purchase a variety of wallpaper silhouettes at Romp.

Block Printing

I LOVE blockprinting. Although, designer John Robshaw studied block printing in China, he caught the “Asia Bug” therafter and journeyed to India to find natural indigo dye for his paintings. There, he fell in love with the local artisans fabric-making traditions.

Preity Zinta wore this beautiful gown at the ‘French National Day’ celebrations in Mumbai at the Taj Mahal, Colaba. Its from BCBG, the champagne metallic floral chiffon halter gown. I just LOVE this dress.
