Rikshaw Design Bedding for the Traditional Modern Baby
June 30, 2009Today I discovered RickshawDesign, a fabulous baby bedding site started by Catherine Fitzsimmons after visiting India and falling in love with the culture!
Each piece is hand printed by an artisans in Jaipur using a hand carved teal wooden block. There are currently four collections of baby bedding and accessories named after indian places like Jaipur – pinks; Bombay-blues, Lali – orange and yellow; Taj – blue and greens. All fabrics are 100% cotton voile.
Could you imagine the same prints in tunics or bags???? Catherine…just a suggestion! You obviously have an eye for a great selection of textiles.
I’ll take all of those inspirational bedding sets!!!

Bold Peacock Letterpress Invitations
June 29, 2009Peacocks are considered sacred in India, especially in the north where its feathers may be burnt to ward off disease, and even to cure snakebite.
I found some beatuful Peacock inspired wedding invitations on the Lucky in Love wedding blog. These are some of my all time favorite wedding invitations. I love the colors of the peacock. The colors chartreuse and turquoise compliment each other so well. The color palette of a peacock creates a gorgeous wedding.
