Standalone Headboard

May 30, 2009

I saw this gorgeous bedroom photo over at An Indian Summer. I love everything in this room. It exudes calmness. The washed out walls with the carved lantern, and the framed art/poster makes it inviting yet relaxed. The lantern reminds me of a small Mandir, which is small home-like model where little statues of gods are placed for praying.

I have not been able to find a large headboard piece like such that is carved in teak wood but Viva Terra (a must for the Earth-conscious retailer) carries a smaller version of the lotus teak panel.

Buy here.

Pick Up a Loaf of Notebooks on Your Way Home

May 29, 2009

Seriously? A brilliantly cute idea by Burak Kaynak and Cem Has. These are not Indian-inspired but I absolutely love the idea. There is a small journal for each month of the year. I wonder if they will look just as good packaged in a Chapati style!  Meaning, they would be circular in shape.  What do you think?

If you are naturally born to organize, these small notebooks will be tempting.

Bachchans + Louis Vuitton = Bollywood Chic

May 17, 2009

The young Bachchans did a photo shoot for L’Officiel which turned out OH SO BOLLYWOOD CHIC! I’ve never seen sister Shweta Bachchan (Nanda) in the limelight. Her debut with Louis Vuitton is a sure hit.  Baby Bachchan wears it well!

Don’t forget to exhale as you view some of the photographs gathered from the editorial. The bedroom is quite amazing. Enjoy!
